Riaz Karamali

Riaz Karamali is a partner in the Menlo Park, California office of Perkins Coie LLP, a technology focused law firm with more than 600 attorneys in 14 offices across the United States and in China.

Riaz's practice focuses on domestic and international outsourcing transactions, technology transactions, mergers and acquisitions and venture capital finance. The clients Riaz works with include classic Silicon Valley technology start-ups, India-based outsourcing service providers and Fortune 100 technology companies.

Riaz is a frequent speaker and author in the areas of startup formation, mergers and acquisitions and outsourcing. Riaz has been practicing law for over 16 years after having graduated with a J.D. in law from the Columbia University School of Law in 1988, and a B.A. from Rice University in 1985.

Prior to joining Perkins Coie in January 2002, Riaz worked five years at the Mountain View based GCA Law Partners and eight years in the San Francisco, London and Palo Alto offices of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.
