Michael Keyes

Michael Keyes, of Preston Gates Ellis, is an associate in the firm's Technology and Intellectual Property Practice Group. Mike's practice focuses primarily on intellectual property litigation, including copyright, trademark, trade secret, and patent infringement actions in the U.S. District Courts of Eastern and Western Washington, Idaho, and Florida.

Mike also advises clients on protecting and licensing of intellectual property as well as securing copyright and trademark registrations from the US Government.

Mike's appellate experience also includes having clerked for the current Chief Justice of the Washington State Supreme Court, Chief Justice Gerry L. Alexander.

Mike lectures and publishes frequently on matters involving the protection and licensing of intellectual property. He is also an adjunct professor at Gonzaga University School of Law where he teaches Internet and the Law, Legal Research and Writing, and coaches the ABA National Appellate Advocacy Competition Teams.
