John Drescher
John C. Drescher joined Discovery as Director of the Technology and Democracy Project and Discovery Institute Senior Fellow in November of 2002, leaving his role as Director of Business Operations for publicly-held Onyx Software.
Previous to Onyx John held executive roles for software companies Syncronex and Hablador, and for educational travel company, Ambassador Programs.
John has written and reported for Investors Business Daily and the Los Angeles Daily News, and his work has been featured in numerous major publications, including the Seattle Times, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, and The Orange County Register.
He has taught German and U.S. History for the Culver Academies, and has served as financial analyst for CS First Boston in New York.
John holds bachelor degrees in German and U.S. History from Dartmouth College, and a masters degree in journalism from Northwestern University's Medill School.
