Jamie Mayerfeld

Jamie Mayerfeld (Ph.D., Princeton) is Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Washington. He teaches on political theory and human rights, and is a core faculty member in the UW's Law, Societies & Justice program. He is the author of Suffering and Moral Responsibility (Oxford 1999), and has published articles on the duty to relieve suffering, nationalism, and human rights.

In the spring of 2000 he received a Human Rights Teaching Fellowship from Columbia Law School. His articles on the International Criminal Court have appeared in Human Rights Quarterly, the Fletcher Forum of World Affairs, and the Finnish Yearbook of International Law.
