Honorable James L. Robart

Judge Robart was sworn in as a United States District Court Judge for the Western District of Washington on June 28, 2004.

Prior to that date, he had been a trial lawyer for 31 years with the firm of Lane Powell Spears & Lubersky, specializing in complex commercial and other civil litigation.

Judge Robart is currently serving on the Advisory Board for the Ninth Circuit and previously served on the Board of Governors for the Federal Circuit Bar Association. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and of the American Bar Foundation.
