Gary Swearingen

Gary Swearingen is an owner in Garvey Schubert Barer's Seattle office.

Gary is in the firm's Intellectual Property and Technology Group where his practice focuses on helping high tech and other growing companies exploit and protect their technologies and intellectual property.

He assists clients with all aspects of technology transfer and protection including licensing, distribution and sales agreements, trademark and copyright protection, domain name transfer and disputes, insurance coverage for intellectual property, and general business issues.

He also advises on the regulations and risks relation to privacy and security including web privacy and security, HIPAA regulations for the healthcare industry and GLB regulations for the financial industry.

Occassionally, and more frequently in this economy, he assists clients in intellectual property and insurance coverage litigation.
