Egil 'Bud' Krogh
Egil (Bud) Krogh, a practicing Seattle attorney, specializes in energy law and mediation.
He served on the Nixon White House staff with responsibilities for District of Columbia governmental affairs, narcotics control policy, law enforcement and transportation policy. Mr. Krogh resigned from federal service in May of 1973.
Following a lengthy investigation of his work as Director of The White House Special Investigations Unit, which had responsibility for determining the source of leaks of classified documents, Mr. Krogh pleaded guilty in November 1973 to a federal offense and served four and a half months in prison. He was disbarred by the Washington Supreme Court in 1975 and reinstated in 1980.
Mr. Krogh also offers counseling in ethics to corporations, universities, government agencies, and other organizations. He is at work on a new book, Integrity Lessons of a Nixon White House Lawyer.
