Edmund O. Belsheim
Ed Belsheim is chief administrative officer and a director of InfoSpace, Inc., a diversified technology and services company. Mr. Belsheim joined InfoSpace in November 2000 and has held several senior management positions at the company, including president, chief operating officer, and general counsel.
Prior to joining InfoSpace, Mr. Belsheim was a partner at Perkins Coie LLP, concentrating in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance. Clients included InfoSpace, Amazon, ICOS, Frank Russell Company, and Ignition Partners.
Prior to joining Perkins Coie, Mr. Belsheim was vice president, corporate development, general counsel and secretary of Penford Corporation and senior vice president, corporate development, general counsel and secretary of Penford’s former affiliate, Penwest Pharmaceuticals.
Before joining Penford, Mr. Belsheim was a partner at Bogle & Gates PLLC and chairman of the firm's business department. Mr. Belsheim began his legal career at Dewey Ballantine in New York.
Mr. Belsheim is a member of the advisory council to the Dean of the University of Oregon Law School. He has also served as chairman of the advisory board of KUOW and as a member of the board of trustees of Cornish College of the Arts.
Mr. Belsheim holds an A.B. from Carleton College, an M.A. from the University of Chicago, and a J.D. from the University of Oregon, where he was editor-in-chief of the law review.
