CLE Seminar Speaker

Bob Dickerson

Robert (Bob) Dickerson, II

Bob Dickerson served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1969. On discharge, he completed his undergraduate education at the University of Washington. He hoped to become a high school history teacher. As it was a down time for Seattle and no teaching jobs were available, he entered the University of Washington School of Law.

Bob Dickerson obtained his Juris Doctor in 1976. He practiced civil litigation with his firm, Wilson Smith Cochran & Dickerson. While practicing law, Bob was active in a number of volunteer groups, seeking to make the world a better place. He was diagnosed with cancer, and on January 31, 2000, chose to focus his life working on more important matters than a civil litigation practice.

Volunteering full time with several different agencies in literacy, cancer support, and lobbying groups, Bob concluded that RESULTS was the most effective group of those he served. Accordingly, Bob works nearly full-time now as a volunteer for RESULTS, a grassroots lobbying group seeking to end hunger and the worst aspects of poverty.
